A Cuddly Cousin!

Hip Hip Hooray!  We have a precious baby cousin to snuggle!  She is so sweet and so totally cute!  I want to eat her up and just smell her all day long! love. love. love. babies!  Almost makes me want another one, problem is they grow and eat a lot and cost a lot! :) Check out Baby Sloan Reagan Heater.  7lbs 2 oz 19 inches.  Perfection in a tiny package!  Babies are the hugest blessing ever! Cade wouldn't hold her. He's scared of babies until "that nasty black thing falls off their belly button." He says he'll hold her on December 19th. Cora LOVES her. She didn't want to give her up. When we left she said, "Mommy, I love baby Sloan. I want to live with her!" Cora's a natural little mama! Clara will get to meet her tomorrow! So exciting! We love you already our first and only cousin!!!

The Little Daredevil

My. poor. third. child.

Last summer, we threw her down water slides. Now that it's cool, we're launching her down snow runs made for kids taller than 36 inches.

See if you think she's mad at us?

Each time she came down the hill she'd say, "do gin, do gin!"
She had no problem hanging with the big kids.
Now if they could just potty train her! :)

So much to be thankful for!

O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 107:1

We had a great Thanksgiving! I really can't even begin to name all of the blessings that we have been given. But above all else I thank God for my precious family. We got to spend Thanksgiving in Atlanta with Rob's parents. We even got to play in some manufactured snow at Stone Mountain! The kids didn't mind a bit that it didn't fall from the sky, they had a ball playing, and eating all the yummy things that Abuela made for us!

A pre-turkey trip to the playground!

    TURKEY TIME!!!

Pepe', Abuelo, and Clara! Clara loves playing with both of these boys!

Cade wearing a tiger hat injecting the turkey with giant syringe???

Cade in action at Snow Mountain!

3 little snow girls. love. love. love.

even if she could aim, how could you be mad at his cute face for throwing a snowball at you?

Ninja Training Camp

Apparently over the course of the last month or so, our 10 year old neighbor has "trained" Cade to be a ninja. The neighbors are out of town, so yesterday the young apprentice became the teacher and taught his little sister how to be a ninja. BTW, they don't know they're being filmed! ;) Daddy, you know we love you!
The bonus of having two trained ninjas at your house is that there's no use for an alarm system! :)

Gingerbread House!

My class created a "Candy Land" themed gingerbread house to enter in the annual gingerbread contest at The Westin at Savannah Harbor. I had lots of help from the parents and here's what we created...

Sweet soccer spectator

Happy 8th Birthday, Cade

I'm not sure how on earth it's been 8 years, but we've gone from this

to this

This year when we began to talk about how to celebrate Cade's birthday he said, "Mommy, I don't want to hurt your feelings, but this year can I just invite a few friends to spend the night and will you buy me a cookie cake from Sams?"
I was shocked!!! Hurt my feelings??? I haven't thrown extravagant parties for the last seven years for myself, or have I? You didn't have to twist my arm to talk me into that one. So, we invited 3 boys, bought an extra large cookie cake from Sams, got them pizza, and took them bowling! They had a ball! Only one ended up spending the night. Easiest. birthday. ever! Plus, he had a ball!

Then last night we slept in the tent in the backyard and roasted marshmallows. A perfect birthday weekend for our sweet boy! Happy Birthday, Bigsie!

Toothless

She's been waiting her whole life for this moment! Cora lost her first tooth.  Plus, she has two more loose ones!  The tooth fairly left her $2.00!  She's rich! I can't believe she's growing up so fast!
