Leia!
We were all so sad that we had to have Duffy put to sleep. We just couldn't resist when we saw this precious little puppy at a Coastal Pet Rescue benefit this Saturday. So as of Sunday evening, she is ours. She is a husky mix. The rescue lady said husky, white german shepherd, but by her color and one floppy ear we think it may be husky, lab. We'll get the vet's opinion next week. We love her one blue eye, one brown eye. The rescue had named her Hermoine, but since we are not giant Harry Potter fanatics Cade named her, "Luke Rescue Leia Skywalker." Leia for short! She's so sweet, relatively calm (so far), and hasn't had an accident in the house yet. She and Cade LOVE each other!

Our little girl is growing up
I can't believe that little Cora is growing up and talking so much. She isn't quite using sentences, but here are a few of here latest funnies!
Sunday
Cora dresses up in mommy's sandals and hangs mommy's purse over her shoulder.
She looks at mommy and matter of factly says, " Bye...lea fin (leaving)"
Mommy says, "bye bye, Cora. Where are you going?"
Cora says thoughtfully, "hmmm, waa-maat (wal-mart)"
Monday
Cora gets easily frustrated when she can't do something on her own and no one RUNS to help her. We were playing outside and mommy was kicking the soccer ball with Cade. Cora was whining and moaning standing next to Cade's bike.
After a few minutes mommy goes over and says, "Use your words Cora, tell me what you want." Cora looks at mommy and very frustrated says, "HINEY ON BIKE!" You can't be any more specific than that!

Potty time

This is Cora testing out the potty chair. She loves it but has never used it yet. She is so funny because I have seen her numerous times walk right next to the potty, stand directly in front of it, pull her shirt up and try to pull her pants down. I guess that is what happens when your four year old brother is your potty example.

Tired girl

When I am tired I gotta have pappy and Bay-too. That is what I call my blanket, Bay-too, because I always ask for my pacifier by saying "pappy pleez." Then mommy (who is trying to push the blanket harder than the pacifier) says, "do you want your blankey too?" So now I say, "pappy and bay-too pleez." So now blankey's name is officially bay-too. Cade tells me, "cora, you can't have blankey 2 if you don't have a blankey 1."
Brothers, they think they know everything!
