I've always wondered what to do with all of those photo Christmas cards after the holidays are over. People go to such great lengths to create the perfect card and I HATE to just toss them in the trash! So, my very crafty neighbor friend shared this idea with me last year. She creates simple place mats each year with her photo cards. She uses one and a half pieces of scrapbook paper in Christmas colors, adds the year and creates a college place mat! Then you take to Staples and opt for the thick laminating so they'll hold up. Cora and I gave it a shot! We made four just from this year's cards! They're definitely not for use during a formal dinner, but how fun to pull them out each year at Christmas time to work on Christmas cookies, gingerbread houses, or a messy Christmas craft! It didn't take long and we had fun doing it! Thanks, Kasie for the fun idea! Any other fun ideas as what to do with Christmas cards?

We take the non-photo cards & cut out the cute pics or words with fancy scissors and then use them as next year's gift tags.
But this is a great idea of what to do with the photo cards! Thanks for sharing :)
