Tree Update
So last time I posted we had a tree stuck at a 45 degree angle in our front yard. To make a long story short, our fabulous tree man, Timmy, had to call in another tree service to come and fix his mistake. They weren't called Angel's Tree Service for nothing. These green shirted angels took down that tree in a matter of hours without even hurting a blade of grass! And then, they were off leaving Timmy and his crew to clean up the mess. Timmy insisted that if they cut the tree into pieces smaller than 8 feet in length, the county would haul away the wood. He was right this time!!! Rob called to confirm that the county will in fact take the wood if it's in pieces smaller than 8 feet! However, they won't take it if you throw it into a drainage ditch, which is exactly what our friend Timmy, the Underwear man did! So now, we have this!
making our ditch the most popular place in the neighborhood! Cora broke out in tears this afternoon when she heard Rob and I talking about the giant truck we're paying to come and haul this stuff off tomorrow. Surely there can't be any more drama surrounding these pine trees, right?

You know you live in Georgia when....
Blogging had to take precedence over grading 5th grade Science tests tonight. We've had an eventful afternoon to say the least. I'm going to let these videos and pictures speak for themselves! You MUST pause the playlist music and watch the videos in order to get the full effect!
Let's take a little pause from these videos for a short story....Cade and Cora sat at the dining room table to do homework so that they could watch this all play out. They didn't want to miss the "tree fall." At about this point Cora looks up at me from her homework and says, "Mommy, I don't think these guys went to college. I'm going to go to college!" I don't give that girl enough credit for her smarts! :) Back to the show...
So... as of night fall here's what we are left with: two mailboxes on the ground, neighbors that think we're nuts, a yard full of pine, lots of Mello Yello cans, and this....
So what's the plan you might ask. Well, tomorrow morning at 7:30 am some Mexican-American men wearing green shirts will come to our house to fix this mess. The plan is for one of them to climb a neighboring tree tied to a harness and swing over to cut the limbs that are holding the "stuck" tree in place in order to enable it to thud to the ground. Flaw proof, right? FOR REAL, PEOPLE, THAT'S THE PLAN! And there IS no plan B!

The moral of the story is.....don't ever hire someone to do a job for you if his undergarmets are hanging out of his pants!

SCPS Cheer Clinic
Today the Upper School Cheerleaders did a clinic with the Lower School girls. I think she had fun. What do you think?
But that's not all! Little sis had to get in on the cheerleader action too!

The Three Musketeers
or should I say the three stooges?
This is Clara, Kaitlyn, and Curly Clara. These are the other two little girls that Mrs. "Nette" (Clara's babysitter) keeps every day. They are all within about 3 months of each other in age and are SO CUTE together. Of course they fight and fuss, but they really are little friends. They get so excited to see each other in the mornings and I LOVE the stories Mrs. Janette tells us about the three of them and their antics. Let me give you the latest...
This little bench is in the kitchen. None of them like their mamas to leave, but Mrs. Janette is a genuis master of distraction! She has them all come in the kitchen first thing and sit on the bench and she hands out some type of little yummy treat, then we moms sneak out. This particular day it was graham crackers. She then lifted Clara number 1 (far left) down and she had on squeaky shoes. When she was set on the floor her shoes made a squeaky sound. Next, Kaitlyn (middle) was lifted down. She too had on squeaky shoes and when they hit the floor they squeaked! Finally, my princess, who Mrs. Janette refers to as Curly Clara, was lifted down. Even if her hand me down shoes had once squeaked, that squeaker would have been worn out ten times over. She did not squeak when placed on the floor. She gave Mrs. Janette a perplexed look and then looked down and lifted up her shoes and looked at the bottom as if to say, "what the heck is wrong with mine?" Too funny! I must say, we have been TRULY BLESSED to have Clara in such a great place and being so well cared for. She LOVES the routine and schedule that I never really had a chance to provide her with. Thanks, Mrs. Janette for loving our girl!
